Oh that I had illustrated books to recommend! That’s the next step in this process, so if you know of any agents who might like to represent me…meanwhile, shouldn’t you be cooking some bacon right now?

I love, love, LOVE your Alfred Hitchcock - Piggie illustration at the end... and his quote about the origin of bagpipes. How do you find this stuff? We eat fakin' bacon in this house - I know, an abomination, but I'm one of them there vegetarians, my fil has congestive heart failure, and my hubby is on a low fat diet (despite being an enviable skinny guy - he weighs less than me!), so no real bacon allowed. My hubby cooks dinner every night, and he makes culinary alchemy with veggie ingredients, along with chicken and canned tuna for him and his dad.

Did you know that "they" did a study that shows that bacon is the food item is most likely to tempt a vegetarian back to an omnivorous diet? Manna of the gods....

In my days at Men’s Health magazine, we ran an article about pigs in which it was revealed that, if given the chance, a pig will eat its owner! That’s all the permission I needed. BUT I’m largely a non-meat-eater, because of my wife’s proclivities in that direction. Bring on the broccoli omelet!

Bacon is far more healthier than canned tuna. I buy bacon without the added sodium and sugars. Shop around.

Canned tuna is loaded with mercury.

Yeeeikes! Bacon it is!

The tuna's not my doing (poor little fishies, you know 😊), but the men folk only have it every other week or so. As I mentioned, my hubby's the house chef.

I’m the dinner chef at my house, too. Delicious shrimp/broc/rice bowls tonight, under a drizzle of cilantro sauce. Mmmmmm. (Poor little shrimpies)

You have a lucky wife! I've had a pet shrimp since 2019. His name is Hannibal (once upon a time, there were five pet shrimps - the young man at the pet store assured me that they would get along okay, but he was wrong 🦐). Visitors always joke about eating Hannibal.
