eeewwww does come to the forefront. If only the preying mantises would show up earlier in the season. They only get the stragglers!

Oh how I loved that landscape! I filled the South Downs up with all my yearnings and dreams and anxieties, and then went off to have a completely different life than I’d imagined and feared. I guess my vision wasn’t entirely clear!
