The National Theatre front row seats was the high point of my visit to London too. It was Pinocchio in 2017 with actors as giant puppets. Of course I saw lots of other last minute ticket shows which were excellent also.
I love the exciting randomness of last-minute theatre tickets. You don’t know what you’ll get, but in London you know it’ll be topnotch. I blundered into a performance of Anything Goes in Covent Garden a few years back, and fifteen minutes into the show an entire ocean liner appeared mid stage. The actors weren’t bad either.
