Tourism options in the Land that Budgeting Forgot
Want to drop a bundle in no time at all? Have I got the destination for you! BY PETER MOORE, SPECIAL TO THE COLORADO SUN
PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS ASKING ME: Where do your crazy ideas come from? I take it as an earnest inquiry into the creative process, rather than a backhanded suggestion that I seek psychiatric help. And now I have an answer: I derive deep stimulation and inspiration from emailed press releases from p.r. executives. They have just what every cartoonist needs: Straightforward statements about absurd developments. Like, when a town not so far from me tops a list of destinations whose slogan might be: “If you have to ask how much it costs, don’t bother coming.”
Read on for my latest column in the Colorado Sun, about a destination you’ll probably want to strike from your bucket list, because the cost of visiting it is too damn high!
