My buddy John, who was the circulation director of Men’s Health Magazine when I worked there as editor, has recently come on as circulation director of The Road 2 Elsewhere. Thanks, John! When he joined the team, I had about 400 subscribers. Now, four months later, I have 1,100, and readership continues to do that hockey-stick thing. (Go Avs!) One day recently we were discussing the fabulous success he is causing me to have, and he noted: “You know, about two-thirds of the people who subscribe here have never seen the early posts. And they’re good! [Actually, I said that, not John, but it sounds good here.] Maybe you should start mixing in some reprise columns, so people can catch up?” Maybe I should, indeed!
