Driving around my home state of Colorado, you can’t help but notice how many vehicles adopt the names of various places here. It makes the mind wander, right? Why this place, and not another? Why not more of them? Fort Collins is known for beer, Pueblo for its many marijuana grows. And Wolf Creek has had a shit-ton of snow this year-of-years for white stuff. These aren’t mere places—it occurred to me—they’re marketing opportunities! Hence, my latest for the Colorado Sun, our statewide journalistic resource for Rocky mountains highs and lows.
