We went to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving, and contributed the pumpkin pie. I’m not sure why, but as I passed the Reddi-Wip in the dairy case at a King Soopers in Denver, I reached for the “extra creamy.” It changed my life!
And raised important questions.
Are there really two ds in “reddi,” no h in “wip”? Yes! It has been that way since the product was introduced in 1948. I’m as shocked as anyone.
What about the hyphen in Reddi-wip? Big controversy here. There’s no hyphen on the front label, but it does appear on the top of the can, and on the website. Which is it? I don’t know!
