Cartoonapalooza #7: Pessimistic dinosaurs, a flower-pot lamp, little-known moons of Jupiter, and So. Much. More.
My sketchbook overfloweth. WRITTEN and ILLUSTRATED by PETER MOORE
I TAKE MANY LONG BIKE RIDES around scenic northern Colorado. When I’m not admiring the mountains and dodging dead rattlers (really!), I’m thinking about funny stuff I’ve noticed. It’s a big, hilarious world, right? (Aside from all the tragedy, that is.) When a spark hits, I’ll shout at my handlebar-mounted phone. “HEY SIRI TEXT PETER MOORE ABOUT PESSIMISTIC DINOSAURS.” She rarely gets the message right—what? do I mumble?—but usually enough of the idea survives, so I can harvest it when I dismount. It’s amazing what thoughts bubble up when you make time to think.
I love that flowerpot, by the way. Anybody know where I can buy one? Really need it as winter settles in around me.
And now a word from our sponsor: Me! As noted above, my subscriber graph looks like a hockey stick. My “paid subscriber” graph, however, looks like a heart patient in distress. Too many flatlines, not enough up-ticks. Please consider supporting my work and helping the Road2Elsewhere get up from the gurney and dance. Cha cha cha!
Or just leave a comment. I’d enjoy hearing from you.
The flower pot is the coolest. You will have to construct it yourself. That would be easy for a mind like yours. Maybe add a fan in the pot to blow the strands of flowers outward?
Zeppo always was my favorite of the lesser-known moons of Jupiter. Not the show-off-y type, but a solid citizen.
