And Now for Something Particularly Goofy
All protest and no fun makes Peter a dull Substacker. WRITTEN & ILLUSTRATED by PETER MOORE, but not necessarily for THIS SUBSTACK
WHEN PEOPLE ASK ME HOW I’M DOING, THESE DAYS, it’s always a complicated answer. How am I? As usual, I’m fine, especially compared with, say, the citizens of Minneapolis,
So it’s with some embarrassment that I’ll admit that I’ve been skiing at Steamboat Springs for the last two days, completely ignoring apocalyptic events (if any),
or that I recently spent a couple of days considering how strong my brain might be right now, and in years ahead.
And making a bunch of jokes about it.
ALL THIS, INSTEAD OF THE OTHER, MORE IMPORTANT STUFF I SHOULD BE FRETTING OVER!
In my own defense, I wrote and illustrated the piece about oldster brains, for Sari Botton’s The Oldster Magazine, in early January. That was a few minutes before the world descended into a form of chaos I’d never seen before.
And hope never to see again.
So it felt right for an old guy to spring to the defense of old brains everywhere, especially when there was a brand new scientific study propping up those old brains. So rather than read my usual Wednesday post, today, I hope you’ll hop on over to Oldster Magazine and check this out:
It has proven to be more popular than many of my posts here, which I guess means…what?…that Sari’s subscribers like me better than my own?
Say it ain’t so!

Many thanks for joining me here. Or there. Or anywhere!

Glad to know I can still make sense of your words. Always delightful!
Oldster Magazine is awesome! But so are your illustrations here 👍
